LAURA SEKARPUTRI, MT-BC (Board-Certified Music Therapist)
Laura is a music therapist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Indonesia. She graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology.
Laura is the founder of Harmonies at Home, a Boston-based music academy which also offers music therapy services. Laura has also played in masterclasses with world-class musicians such as Kirill Gerstein (Grammy-nominated pianist) and Victor Wooten (Grammy-winning bassist). She has also performed with Grammy-winning artist Evan Ziporyn at MIT's Kresge Auditorium and Berklee Performance Center. In 2020, Laura was behind the hit cover project "Over the Rainbow x Laskar Pelangi", which has been featured in prominent news and media around the world.
In addition to her work as a performing artist (piano, guitar, bass), Laura utilizes her music therapy skills in music education at Park Street School and geriatrics care at Goddard House Assisted Living, impacting elderly suffering from dementia. She is also a clinical supervisor for music therapy students at Berklee College of Music, and was recently appointed by the New England Region of American Music Therapy Association to their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Accessibility and Justice committee.
